Are you ready for a really fun piece of Native American jewelry from David Rosales? This is a saguaro cactus that is commonly seen in the American Southwest. These cacti can live for over 150 years and can grow to 40 feet tall! This is a common symbol of the Southwest that you will find if you travel to Arizona or New Mexico. It is fitting that David Rosales, who is located in Gallup, NM, would have a saguaro pendant in his collection.
This pendant has the Shalako color collection, which consists of turquoise, purple sugilite, and cultured opal. While each piece differs somewhat, this particular pendant has turquoise with a black matrix and a dark sugilite. These two colors go well together while the opal helps to brighten the look significantly. It is a really fun piece with colors that scream Southwest and a design that is easily recognizable.
As I mentioned above, saguaro cacti can grow to be quite large. This pendant mimics the large-scale look of the real-life cactus. It is 3" tall (not including the bail which is difficult to measure but does add some extra length} and 1 1/2" wide. The chain that is pictured is not included with this pendant. If you would like to add a chain please let us know and we can help. To fit its significant size I would suggest something fairly heavy or a set of beads.
Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive this pendant. Because this is handcrafted Native American jewelry, each piece does take some time to create. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at 308-234-3313.
